Myrtle Baptist Church of West Newton,
Massachusetts is seeking a pastor who will serve as an
exemplary spiritual and community leader.
The "Church
Where Love Abides" was founded in 1874.
Its storied history is a source of pride for all members,
including some who are direct descendents of its
founders. We are a loving, Christ centered, spirit
filled and family oriented congregation accustomed to
clear-eyed and compassionate guidance. Enamored with
our past and ready for a new phase in our Christian journey,
the church is well positioned to receive a new leader.
After 23 years of humble service, we celebrate with our
retiring Pastor Reverend Howard Haywood. We will
embrace a talented visionary who is capable to igniting
another 135 years of rich fellowship and engaging missions
anchored in real life challenges.
